Que sont-ils devenus après leur visite chez Barack Obama?

Le 29 Juillet 2011, le président Américain Barack Obama recevait le Guinéen Alpha Condé, l'Ivoirien Alassane Ouattara, le Béninois Boni Yayi et le Nigérien Mahamadou Issoufou à la Maison Blanche. Une rencontre destinée à soutenir “les démocraties en Afrique francophone”. 

La veille de cette rencontre, le président ivoirien déclarait  lors d’un panel de discussion sur la démocratie en Afrique Francophone à The United States Institute of Peace: 

“Les coups d’Etats en Afrique sont aussi le fait du manque de démocratie. Evidemment, quand on accapare le pouvoir pendant trop longtemps,  il arrive un moment où les choses basculent. Et surtout avec l’ère que nous vivons… Dans deux ans, les ivoiriens ne voudront plus me voir.  Ils voudront voir un nouveau visage. C’est naturel!  Vous voyez, les gens veulent du nouveau; On est dans une ère nouvelle.”

Après deux mandats, les présidents Boni Yayi et Mahamadou Issoufou, ont décidé de transmettre  le pouvoir à des “nouveaux visages”.

En 2020, Alpha Condé s’est moqué du président Nigérien sortant en déclarant: “Si Issoufou se retire, c’est parce qu’il a peur. Peur de son armée et d’un coup d’Etat. Moi, je n’ai pas peur de ça et j’ai encore des choses à faire pour la Guinée.”

Les choses ont “basculé” pour Alpha Condé.

“Au bout du petit matin” du  5 septembre 2021, Alpha Condé a été sorti de son lit par le Colonel Mamady Doumbouya.  

Les observateurs attentifs attendent que la prophétie d’Alassane Ouattara se réalise pour la Côte d’Ivoire.
