Le ministre chinois des Affaires étrangères Yang Jiechi, arrivé dimanche soir à Conakry, a été reçu lundi en audience par le président guinéen Alpha Condé au palais Sékhoutouréyah de Conakry où les deux personnalités ont eu un long tête-à-tête sur plusieurs axes de coopération et de renforcement des liens d 'amitié entre la Chine et la Guinée.

"Nous espérons développer de nouvelles relations avec la Chine. Et nous allons coopérer étroitement pour changer la Guinée, comme la Chine à été changée", a déclaré le président guinéen après l'entretien avec son hôte chinois.

"La Chine est un grand pays puisqu'elle est devenue aujourd'hui la deuxième puissance après les Etats-Unis d'Amérique", a relevé Alpha Condé qui souligne que "la Guinée a été l'un des premiers pays à établir des relations diplomatiques avec la Chine depuis le temps de Mao Zedong".

Alpha Condé a décoré dans l'ordre national de la Guinée le ministre chinois des Affaires étrangères "en reconnaissance des bienfaits du peuple chinois envers le peuple guinéen".

"Dans l'avenir, je vais continuer à travailler d'arrache-pied pour contribuer au renforcement des relations d'amitié et de coopération entre les deux peuples", a déclaré, pour sa part, le chef de la diplomatie chinoise.

Il a assuré que son gouvernement va encourager les entreprises chinoises à venir s'installer en Guinée pour y　investir dans plusieurs secteurs stratégiques et vitaux afin de créer des emplois et des richesses pour le pays hôte. - Xinhua
